MR. ASTONISHMENT
MAPURISA - Director
Mr. Mapurisa is a dynamic, sociable and charismatic leader who has transformed
the lifestyle of children from dormitory life to smaller family units
in a short space of time. Mr. Mapurisa provides leadership and is responsible
for overall organizational strategy formulation and implementation, as
well as communication and ensuring that the organizational finance and
strategic objectives are met. He joined Matthew Rusike Children's Home
in October 2002 and brought vast experience from various public institutions
such as the Limited Nations High Commission for Refugees, the Department
of Social Welfare and Ministry of Justice. Mr. Mapurisa is a social worker
by profession and holds a Masters Degree in Policy Studies.
MR. LLOYD N. KUPETA
- Acting Superintendent
Mr. Lloyd N. Kupeta joined Matthew Rusike Children's Home in April 1996
as a Projects Officer He is responsible for directing and coordinating
organizational strategy, operations, reporting and administrative functions.
Mr. Kupeta has several qualifications in Project Planning and Management.
And has a Degree in Sociology and Gender Studies.
MRS. RAIRO GURANUNGO
- Matron
Mrs. Rairo Guranungo is the Matron of Matthew Rusike Children's Home whose
duties are to manage the welfare of the children and staff in her department.
She has been an employee of the Home for many years and rose through the
ranks to the position of Matron. Mrs Guranungo holds several certificates
in childcare and is currently studying for a degree in Psychology.
MISS THELMA SADZAMARI
- Bookkeeper
Miss Thelma Sadzamari is the organization's Bookkeeper. She joined MRCH
in 2005 and brought with her vast experience gained in the clothing industry.
Miss Sadzamari is responsible for all accounting and financial issues.
MR. JULIUS MWALE
- Projects Officer
Mr. Mwale is the Matthew Rusike Children's Home Projects Officer. He has
been an employee of the Home for many years and rose through the ranks
to the position of Projects Officer. Mr Mwale is responsible for the planning,
monitoring and training of the children in various projects at the Home.
He holds several related certificates and is currently studying Law through
correspondence.
REV. GODKNOWS MAKUVAZA
- Childcare Planning Officer
Rev. Makuvaza joined MRCH in January 2007 and is responsible for planning
individual developments for all the children in the home. Every child
will have a development/care plan guiding staff in the management of children
as unique beings. This includes children who are undertaking transitional
programmes such as those leaving care. Rev. Makuvaza holds a Diploma in
Religious Studies, Diploma in Theology, Diploma in Marketing and Management
and Higher National Diploma in Marketing and Management. Rev. Makuvaza
is widely read on matters of childcare hence his management studies combine
well with childcare planning.
The Home employs 36
staff. All childcare workers are studying for or have gained their certificates
in Residential Care at the School of Social Work.
