It all started when my grandma died, my relatives didn't want to see even our toe on their doors. The spirit of God got into someone in the crowd who took us to Matthew Rusike Children's Home where I, my brother and my younger sister stay right now. I was brought here in 1992. At first it was like I've been placed in the midst of the forest where I knew no-one at all. The man who was in charge of the home was a loving, caring father in company with his staff. Mr Mangobe received us with warm, loving arms. He did all he can to see that every one goes to school.' I started my primary grade 3 until grade 7 at Epworth Primary. I continued with my education until form 4 whilst I was at Pakame High School. At first when I was sent to Pakame I felt like I've been sent away from the institution. In 1999 there was a bright young man who came to the Home as deputy to Mr Mangobe. This man was a blessing from God because he has always been there for each and every child like the superintendent used to do. I will always cherish that I've lived at Matthew Rusike Children's Home.
